I’ve had the privilege of returning to Mallorca with my family every year since 2006, always the same town, the same hotel, it's like part of me grew up there and means a lot to our family. In October 2021, I picked up a paintbrush to capture that special place as a Christmas gift for my mum. What started as a personal project quickly grew when I began sharing it online, and other hotel guests were reaching out to buy their own copies. People I knew also started asking for commissions.

That was the beginning of my little art business, called abigailthornedesign. Now, in October 2025, I’m excited to relaunch under a new name: Sol Studio. Sol being Spanish for 'sun', all the golden tones, palm trees, inviting water and holiday warmth, this new chapter feels like the perfect reflection of where my art began and where it’s heading.
